Lawn Bowling is a healthy, low-impact sport that offers our members a great environment to meet and make new friends. Baby Point Club has 6 bowling lanes and welcomes members of all ages, physical abilities, and skill levels: from novice player, occasional social bowler to competitive bowler. Our popular beer and bowl league usually starts in early May and the playoff ends by early October. Our club offers complimentary coaching, free use of club bowls and other equipment. No dress code requirement, just a pair of flat-soled shoes. No additional cost to play, and new members are always welcome!
BPC offers two badminton nets and a golf putting hole for our members to use. They are used on a first come first served basis. No appointment needed.
Are you ready for some fun? Here is what BPC Lawn Bowling is offering our members this season:
Dates: First game will be on May 17, or earlier if the lawn is ready. Championship game to be scheduled on September 30 at the latest. The league will take a pause for the months of July and August. Regular season games end in late June and playoffs begin after Labour Day weekend.
Location: BPC grass lawn
Time: every Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Each team is expected to play one game per week on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday. Each game could last 1.5 to 2 hours in duration. Start time may vary and could be as early as 6:30pm or as late as 8:30pm depending on how many teams sign up.
Teams: Team captains are encouraged to recruit their own players, to manage their players’ scheduling and to come up with a team name. We recommend each team recruit at least four to six players. To avoid default, minimum 2 players must be present at game time.
Registration: The last day for team registration is April 22, 2022. Only the Team Captain is required to register for his/her team. Want to play but don’t have a team? Send your name, email, and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org and the league organizer will help forming a team for you. To register a team, please send the following information to Francis Wong at email@example.com.
The league will send out a weekly game schedule to the team captains once all the registrations are tabulated. The league will try to schedule matches with teams that have similar skill levels.
To kick off the summer holidays, the BPC Lawn Bowling Committee would like to invite your family to our inaugural Family Bowl Day!
Registration deadline is June 17th. Please submit the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org
To help making this event possible, we are looking for volunteers who can help run the events (e.g., photography; registration booth; leader board & score keepers; refreshment station).
